08/09/03 Another week has gone by and still Princess Pauline is in jail, she failed in her Supreme Court Bail Application. I can’t believe she is locked up in jail, I am still in shock. I have asked everyone visiting this site to leave a message of support for her on the message board but it seems that my plea has fallen on deaf ears. Come on every one wake up out of your lethargy and leave a message for the Princess on my message board. On the moving blue banner above you will see the Ugliest Man in the Universe Competition, click through on it and cast your vote. The finalists in the competition are myself, the Stonefish (aka Noel Selby) and Ossie. From the latest vote I can see that I am winning the Ugliest Man in the Universe Competition which is an absolute joke, honestly some of you people should get your eyes checked. I hope you have a really good look at Ossie and the Stonefish they are extremely ugly and obviously Jenny Craig dropouts. I think the Stonefish will eventually win he has a head like a twisted sandshoe and is so ugly his mother had to hang 2 pork chops around his neck so the family dog would play with him. What a tragedy for the Wallabies with Toutai Kefu having to withdraw from the World Cup through injury. Kef is an absolute champion, a great bloke and a tower of strength for the Wallabies. Last week I wrote that the Wallabies would really miss Kef if he was injured, I think I was the only person in Australia who did not know he was in serious doubt even last week. Kef is almost impossible to replace but Eddie Jones and the boys have to move on and cope without him, good luck. In last weeks article I wrote that France were a good bet at 10-1 for the World Cup. You better get on them quick because the odds will be shortening after their 1 point defeat of England on the weekend. Both England and France did not have their top sides on the park but by all accounts it was a great forward battle and high quality game. I welcome any comments on the message board about the game. Hot off the press England got up and belted France in the return match 45-15. Got a call yesterday from my old mate the “Human Skewer” Ilie Tabua. The “Snake” is coaching Brothers in Brisbane and also liaison officer for Fiji during the World Cup. The Snake worships a Rugby Tour and I am glad he got a gig for the World Cup. The “Snake” was legendary in Brisbane for being 29 years old for 5 years, every year in the Pen Pics he would be 29. If he gets on my message board we will have to quiz him on his actual age when he made his debut for the Wallabies against South Africa in 1993, he will say 29 of course. Well done to Eddie Jones and the selectors for the final World Cup squad. It was pleasing to see players such as Al Baxter, John Roe, David Croft, Matt Gitteau and Morgan Turinui given a go. I believe this is the best squad we can assemble this year, good enough to make the quarters and possibly semis, but I am afraid it is men against boys when you stand our blokes up against the English forward pack.
