THE BAY SPORTS CLUB ANNOUNCE
SPONSORSHIP WITH THE CENTRAL COAST RUGBY UNION
Mr Norman Tasker, Canterbury Bankstown’s Rugby League’s Club General Manager of Media and Marketing announced The Bay Sports Club, of Bateau Bay will sponsor the Central Coast Rugby Union.

“We look forward to a productive association with Central Coast Rugby. Our aim, as a sports club, is to provide whatever support we can to the area’s sporting fraternity.

Mr Jonathan Brain, General Manager of The Bay Sports Club said he was looking forward to the association with Central Coast Rugby as they already a major sponsor of the Central Coast Junior Rugby Academy.

Larry Thomson, President of the CCRU said not only was he very pleased with the sponsorship but also The Bay Sports Club would now be the new “home” of Rugby here on the Coast.

Larry added that the club has great facilities and was looking forward to hosting several CCRU functions there in the coming months. He also indicated that he would encourage local Rugby Clubs and the greater rugby community to use the facilities as well.

REPRESENTATIVE HONOURS
Several players from the Central Coast were selected in the NSW Country team for 2008. The NSW Country team play further matches throughout the year and despite the disappointment of not winning the Championship this year, it was great to see a high number of players selected in the NSW Country team.
The players selected were :
